Pan Ocean Remote Sensing Conference (PORSEC) 2014 the 12th Biennial Conference
November 3-6, 2014
PORSEC is an organization dedicated to helping developing nations stimulate their science programs using global remote sensing data. PORSEC has provided over a decade of effort with over 30 countries and agencies participating to advance the science capabilities in developing countries. A governing body of 60 global scientists provide the guiding effort and leadership to make this a successful movement. Originating in Japan, it is truly an International effort.
A goal of the PORSEC Association is that its conferences will further understanding of the Earth's environmental processes such as climate variability, the effects of the El Nino Southern Oscillation (ENSO), oceanic hazards such as tsunamis, tropical and extra-tropical cyclones, sea level rise, and other climate change effects and the effects of pollution through exchange of ideas and knowledge.
